Reunions

The reunions section is intended to be devoted to ongoing information about Capstone family reunions.  We will have dates and plans for each reunion posted as well as reports about each reunion once one is completed.   You will also find quotes and messages from families and sons who have attended reunions in the past.

Capstone conducts two Family Reunions per year.  During the reunion, past Capstone parents and sons return to Searcy and stay in a retreat center not far from Capstoneís main campus for the weekend.  The goal of the weekend is for parents and sons to be encouraged, to become more connected to Capstone and other families, and to be better equipped to fight and finish the battle for their sons.  Each family will participate in a two hour family therapy session with their therapist, a two hour parent only session with Adrian while their sons are in a two hour sons only session with a Capstone therapist, a two hour adventure activity (sorry no high elements yet), a two hour multi-family group session, and a two hour small group session with Bonnie or another Capstone therapist.  In addition, there are hours of visiting, playing games, fishing, and a worship service on Sunday.  Of course saving the best for last, the entire weekend we all get to eat Scott Huntís cooking!!!

The Reunions have proved vital to helping families follow through with the game plan.  Helping your sons move away from the drug culture in to a new life is challenging and everyone has to make changes.  There is no question about the strengthening that occurs from participating in Family Reunions helping your family make these changes.  It is our hope that you will be a part of them!!!
