Winter Yielding, Psychotherapist
Licensed Associate Counselor / LAC
MS in Marriage and Family Therapy

Winter is the fourth part of that very talented class of marriage and family graduates that I was privileged to teach and train. I have had the opportunity to work with several excellent therapists since beginning teaching in 1993, Winter is in the top percentage of over 150. I was so happy that we were able to hire her to be on the therapy team. When she graduated she probably understood and could present the Core Model better than any grad student I’ve ever worked with.

I also was able to train Winter on the ropes course and see some of her outdoor abilities. Winter facilitates groups, individual therapy sessions, and goes on many Outdoor Adventure days. She handles the residents like a veteran. It always tickles me on the inside when I see a young female therapist like Winter take on her role with hard headed boys and especially with parents and earn their respect. She does this well.

Winter fits into the group with Ryan, Steve Armitage, and Jim Galyan as far as faith, character, and talent. She married Chris in January of 2008 and Steve Armitage performed the wedding. Chris is a high school coach whose football team finished runner up in the state playoffs in his first year. I hope to have Winter as a part of the team as long as she’ll stay. I appreciate her so much
