Personal Statement about Working at Capstone:
Like many watershed moments in life, God opens doors when we least expect one to even exist. My journey began growing up in a small northeast Pennsylvania town where my life decisions and experiences led me down a dark path of my own. I found God in the midst of my hurt and fear and followed a new, long forgotten path that led me to getting a degree in psychology, meeting and marrying my wife, and entering a graduate school program where I was introduced to Capstone by Adrian Hickmon. When I found Capstone it actually felt like Capstone found me. It felt so familiar being with the young men and hearing their stories, witnessing the pain they bore and their attempts to numb it. Now I have a part in giving struggling young men and their families the guidance and permission to look at other paths and witness God open doors that lead to true healing, peace, and connection.
